Yes

What can I even begin to say about this band that simply overwhelms me to the point

of almost breathless tears? I feel so incredibly luck to even be in their presence.

SIMPLY AN AMAZING BAND, WITH AMAZING MUSICIANS,

WHO HAVE MADE INCREDIBLY AMAZING MUSIC.

REST IN PEACE MR. CHRIS SQUIRE: March 4, 1948 — June 27, 2015

REST IN PEACE MR. PETER BANKS: July 15, 1947 — March 7, 2013

REST IN PEACE MR. ALAN WHITE: June 14, 1949 — May 26, 2022

There has been so many incarnations of this amazing band YES,

that for myself I literally need a road map to keep correct which members played on

what albums and tours as to not get the wrong person signing an item of memorabilia.

I do not get into nor do I care to converse with any of the “which version or which singer do I like best”.

Since first seeing YES in concert in October of 1980, I have never left a YES concert feeling that I was not blown

away and fully entertained. I enjoy all the members, all the versions and rather spend my time and hard

earned money following the music and having appreciation for all these incredibly talented musicians.

WHO SIGNED WHAT?

Below, you will see the fully autographed classic “FRAGILE” album signed by the 1971 line up.

You will also see memorabilia signed by the 1974 RELAYER line-up which included Patrick Moraz.

You will also see memorabilia signed by the 1977 “GOING FOR THE ONE” line up.

You will also see memorabilia signed by the “90125/Big Generator/Talk” line up’s of 1983 thru 1994.

You will also see the 2016 – 2018 ARW line up of Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman.

You will see the 2018 (and beyond) Steve Howe and Alan White YES line-up with vocals by Jon Davison.

Also included, is the Anderson, Bruford, Wakeman & Howe line-up from 1988 thru 1990.

Also/also included are several other YES related signatures (Roger Dean).

With the death of Chris Squire and Peter Banks,

further completed items are very cautiously almost impossible to obtain.

Chris is the only member to appear on every single YES album while he was alive.

AUTOGRAPHED IN FULL YES ALBUMS

There seems to not at all be an abundance of fully signed YES albums in the hands of collectors.

Perhaps its the fact that fully signed albums don’t really come to market

very often, or are hidden deep within fans personal collections,

or the interest of obtaining signed albums is a more recent hobby and quest?

Whatever that answer might be, perhaps its best left to the unknown.

What is known, is that fully signed YES albums by the various and ever changing members of the band are

highly regarded as indeed a very rare collectable. There are many YES albums signed by various members,

however to have a complete signed LP by the exact members that played on that LP is a difficult task to achieve.

I am very proud and fortunate to have these few completed albums in my collection:

Signed Fragile album by the 1971 line-up of the band Yes:

Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Rick Wakeman.

Autographed during the TALK and ABWH tours here in Los Angeles at
The Greek Theater on September 6 & 7, 1989 and July 22 & 23, 1994.

Signed RELAYER album by the 1974 line-up of the band Yes:

Jon Anderson, Alan White, Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Patrick Moraz.

Albums were obtained from a private collector signed with

Jon Anderson, Alan White, Steve Howe, and Chris Squire’s signature in 2018.

Through the mail, I was able to obtain Patrick Moraz’s signature for album completion as well in 2018.

PATRICK MORAZ signed the inner sleeve of the above album on the left,

as well as autographing all that is transcribed within.

Signed TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA album by the 2017 line-up of the band Yes:

Jon Davison, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Billy Sherwood,

Alan White, Jay Schellen (and photographer Roger Dean).

The above album on the left and right was signed in full by the band on

June 17, 2018 in Anaheim at The National City Grove Theater.

The above album in the middle was signed in full by the band on July 24, 2019

in Phoenix at The Comerica Theater, (with album designer Roger Dean).

Signed LIVE 50 album by the 2019 line-up of the band Yes:

Jon Davison, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Billy Sherwood,

Alan White, and Jay Schellen.

The above album on the right was signed in full by the band

on July 26, 2019 in Las Vegas The Joint (Hard Rock casino).

THE FOLLOWING YES ALBUMS,

ARE ALBUMS THAT CAN NEVER BE COMPLETED

due to the death of Chris Squire and/or Peter Banks,

or the difficulties in obtaining Bill Bruford (more on THAT, below)

or the simple fact as a collector I am quite fine on how they are signed as is:

The above 7 of the 8  YES albums were autographed by

Jon Anderson on September 1, 2019 at The Canyon in Montclair.

The Yes album “TALES OF TOPOGRAPHIC OCEANS” was signed

by Rick Wakeman at The City Winery in Atlanta, October 25, 2019.

Some of these above solo albums I may try and get other members to sign,

OR I may simply leave as is with those band members who are on them thus far.

THE FOLLOWING “LIVE AT THE APOLLO” ALBUMS

were each started during 2019.

Jon Anderson signed these items during the

4 nights I saw him on his 2019 “1000 Hands” Tour.

Rick Wakeman signed these during the 3 nights

I saw him on his 2019 “Grumpy Old Rock Star” Tour.

(click on any album to increase it’s viewing size)

Trevor Rabin was able to add his signature to the

first 4 albums (Top row and second row left) during the October 22, 2019

Rick Wakeman concert at The Ace Hotel in Los Angeles.

As of year end 2019, I was able to collect 4 fully signed

ARW “Live AT The Apollo” albums,

and have two more that are still in need of
Trevor Rabin’s signature for full band completion.

HOW RARE ARE THESE TOUR BOOKS?

I have yet to ever see these two above YES Tour Books fully signed by the members of that tour,

owned by ANY other collectors anywhere.

Signed by Jon Anderson at Perkins Palace in Pasadena on March 27, 1993,
and signed by Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye, and Alan White,
on May 24, 1994 at The Guitar Center in West Hollywood.

The 1994 YES album (CD cover) “TALK”

signed by Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye, Jon Anderson and Alan White.

“TALK” promo CD photo signed by Trevor Rabin.

The two above “TALK” promo photo’s were  signed by

Jon Anderson on April 26, 2019 in Pasadena
and by Alan White July 26, 2019 in Las Vegas.

The day that YES got inducted into the Guitar Center Rock Walk

On March 24th, 1994,

I thought to myself , “what can I get them to sign that would be so rare/yet so uniquely appropriate for music”?

Signed by Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye, Jon Anderson and Alan White are these HARD ROCK CAFE

long out of print and no longer used (and hard to find in what is almost mint condition) Restaurant Menu’s.

Truly a ONE OF A KIND item of Yes autographed memorabilia!

AUTOGRAPHED 5X8 INDIVIDUAL INDEX CARDS

Simple, not anything too flashy, but makes for nice signed signatures.

The above 8 index cards were signed at:

The Guitar Center in Hollywood on May 24, 1994.

The very beautiful smiles of Jon & Jon

My utmost respect for both of these beautiful singers.

How cool and very unique are these two signed photos?

The student meeting the master perhaps?

Actually I applaud both of these very beautiful men on their voices,

their hard work, and all that they have given to this very beautiful music.

Autographed by Jon Davison in Irvine on July 27, 2019 and

Autographed by Jon Anderson in Pasadena on August 29, 2019.

The following signatures were obtained from famed album and photo

designer, Mr. Roger Dean

on July 24, 2019 in Phoenix and on July 27, 2019 in Irvine.

TOUR BOOKS & TOUR BOOK PAGES

With the death of Chris Squire these below tour books can never
contain a complete set of band signatures.

However, I enjoy trying to be diverse in my memorabilia as to

collect different years material to be signed.

YES “TALK” World Tour Book signed by:

Jon Anderson April 26, 2019 in Beverly Hills at The Saban Theater
Alan White (twice) July 24, 2019 at The Celebrity Theater in Phoenix

The above 2 inner program pages were signed at:

The Guitar Center in Hollywood on May 24, 1994

by both Tony Kaye and Trevor Rabin.

YES 2005 World Tour Book signed by:

Jon Anderson April 26, 2019, The Saban Theater, Beverly Hills
Steve Howe and Alan White July 24, 2019, The Celebrity Theater, Phoenix

YES album compilation  8X10 color photographs

Again, nothing too flashy and unknown who else I might try to get to sign them, but still fun:

Jon Anderson: Signed April 26, 2019 at The Saban, Beverly Hills.

Rick Wakeman: Signed October 25, 2019 at The City Winery, Atlanta.

PATRICK MORAZ

The so very generous and ever so kind and amazing keyboardist, Patrick Moraz

The very talented and gifted PATRICK MORAZ was only part of the band YES

during the 1974 RELAYER album and subsequent tour.

The following images were obtained “In The Mail”

from Patrick Moraz as described more fully below:

What you see below are his detailed response.

I cannot thank this man enough for his extreme kindness.

I have never had the pleasure of meeting in person this very beautiful and talented man.

Through the mail, Patrick Moraz and I have
corresponded and the following requested autographs were very generously

sent to me during November and December of 2018.

ANDERSON, BRUFORD, WAKEMAN & HOWE

PLEASE take the time to read the entire story of how I obtained Bill Bruford’s signatures:

The above tour book and inner pages was signed by and at:

Jon Anderson at The Raymond Theater after party on March 27, 1993 (cover) and the inner pages

along with Rick Wakeman were both signed at The Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles on

November 22, 2016. Steve Howe signed the cover of the book in Phoenix on July 24, 2019.

As you can see, the cover of this book still needs Mr. Bill Bruford to complete.

THE SAGA AND DRAMA RESULTING FROM

TWO LETTERS SENT TO MR. BRUFORD

simply from an absolute true fan of his former band:

As you will see, there is a below email correspondence with the Bill Bruford Team.

It is directly in response to a “through the mail” autograph request I sent through the team

for Bill Bruford, and may very well, as well, be in response I sent directly to Mr. Bill Bruford.

My intentions and thoughts were simple:

Mr. Bruford is  “retired”, living in the UK. The internet has two addresses for him:

I tried both and see what, if any thing may result from both letters, sent about a month apart:

In late 2018, I sent two different correspondences to 2 different addresses for Mr. Bill Bruford.

My request and response from his management team,

and Mr. Bruford himself are below:

Dear Mr. Duncan,

A package from you has been retrieved from this firm’s accountant. In it you request Bill Bruford’s signature on several items. You make a lot of assumptions. Why do you imagine he would want to do this? Would it not be considerate to ask first, before you make these assumptions?

Mail charges will be 5 GBP. The service charge to cover collection of the package from the accountant (16 mile round trip),  Bill’s time, my time going to, waiting in line and returning from the post office (ten mile round trip), and the distinct possibility that these images are for resale, will be 45 GBP. I have therefore requested 50 GBP via Paypal. If you don’t have an account, it’s easy to open one. On receipt of the funds at this end, the signed images will be returned.

Please don’t do this again and certainly don’t tell your friends. Bill Bruford Productions Ltd has neither the time nor inclination to be in the international mailing business.

The Webmaster, Bill Bruford Productions.

https://www.facebook.com/billbruford  http://billbruford.com/

Dear Sir,

Thank you very much for the response.

I made no assumptions as it was just a request and I believe I was respectful upon this request as stated within my letter. I meant no disrespect whatsoever.

I totally can appreciate your time and effort, the cost in mailing back and associated with such a request and do feel it is only appropriate that I compensate such a request.
I have therefore completed the PayPal payments.  I thank you for sending the link.

As far as resale, though I suppose one could assume that, that here is not the case.  That is why I asked for and highly encourage that each item be inscribed, “To Stephen”.
I trust that will eliminate the belief that these very generous items would be for any such resale.

I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this request.  I am just a fan.  Fan of Mr. Bruford’s music, and a fan of his career.

Best to you and all that is the Bill Bruford musical family.
Cheers,

Stephen Duncan  🙂

Dear Mr. Duncan,

Funds received with thanks. The items have been signed and are in the Royal Mail standard international mail, untracked. You should allow 15 working days for delivery, but we cannot be held responsible in the unlikely event, for any reason, of non-delivery. As discussed, this was a one-time only offer.

The Webmaster, Bill Bruford Productions.

https://www.facebook.com/billbruford   http://billbruford.com/

The above is an email exchange with the camp of Bill Bruford Productions.

My items were eventually mailed back with the above understanding and conditions.

I thank Bill Bruford and his production team for obliging my request.

As stated above, I had originally sent two packages to Mr. Bruford at two separate .
addresses. I gave reference to two separate packages in both letters dated

and sent a month a part in and around September and October 2018.

The above letter was received in the mail from Bill Bruford

on February 25, 2019, when my items were sent back from him

fully signed, safely received and very generously autographed.

Part of both requests were these yet un-signed photographs by any of the 4 members.

I knew that if Bill signed them, I could get to each of the rest the following year as all were

going to tour. As planned, within a year, mid 2019, each of the below were signed in full:

The above 5 8X10 photographs autographed by

Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe

now concludes and puts a finalization of my journey for complete ABW&H signed items.

I thank each of these 4 men tremendously for their generosity.

SINCERE NOTE:  I have no idea if internet feedback or how much fan feedback and chatter actually gets back to these artists.  I am not talking about magazine or publication feedback or review, but instead, what the fans are talking and saying.  I bring this up especially, in the case of Mr. Trevor Rabin. In over 33 years of collecting, I have only heard of the most kindest, gentle words, and appreciation of this man from his true fans, more so, than any other celebrity that I can think of.

It comes as no surprise to anyone who has had even minimal contact with this man,
at just how beautiful and genuine he truly is. A unique spirit indeed.

Images and signatures of Quintessential YES, featuring

Jon Anderson, Trevor Rabin and Rick Wakeman

were signed and obtained at

You will never, ever meet 3 nicer or generous, funny

(especially Rick) or kinder gentlemen than these three.

These men have all my respect and admiration for the music they

have made and the extreme generosity they show their fans.

The 2 above medium size posters were pre-signed

THE FOLLOWING IS MY MEMORABILIA COLLECTION OF

the newest line-up of YES, featuring Steve Howe and Alan White

as well as the other very talented members Billy Sherwood,

Jon Davison, Geoff Downes and Jay Schelling.

With the signatures collected and the cities these tours took me too,

within 3 different states for a total of 4 performances:

June 17, 2018 — The Grove Theater, Anaheim
July 24, 2019 — The Comerica Theater, Phoenix
July 26, 2019 — The Hard Rock Joint Theater, Las Vegas
July 27, 2019 — The Five Point Theater, Irvine

2018 YES 50th Tour

The above photo was from the after concert Meet & Greet at

The Grove Theater in Santa Ana, Ca., June 17, 2018

Personally signed ticket by Geoff Downes from the June 17, 2018

performance at The Grove Theater in Anahem, Ca.
The above flat was signed at the June 17, 2018 performance of the band YES

and the after concert Meet and Greet, while the below album size historical book on the career

of the band was pre-signed and sold at the merchandise table.

Signed by Jon Davison, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Tony Kaye,

Billy Sherwood, Alan White and Jay Schellen.

PRESIGNED at sold at the Merchandise Booth is this

historical illustrated history book of the band.

Autographed by Jon Davison, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe,

Tony Kaye, Billy Sherwood, Alan White and Jay Schellen.

Myself, standing at the stage on June 17, 2017 a The Grove Theater whereas

the above YES 50th Anniversary items and fully signed LP’s were obtained.

In spite of a combined ticket expense of close to $2000.00,

including 9 Meet and Greet’s within 3 cities of 3 different states,

travel expenses and lost wage time at (my wife’s) work,………….

Maria and I gladly went on the following July 2019 YES Band adventure:

2019 YES The Royal Affair Tour

The following images and autographs are from

The Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Arizona, July 24, 2019

The Hard Rock Joint in Las Vegas, Nevada, July 26, 2019

Five Point Amphitheater in Irvine, California, July 27, 2019

I feel it is so awesome that each member of this current line-up of YES make themselves available for Post-Concert Meet & Greets’s whereas fans at one time, one sitting, can obtain a full autograph set, or help complete past items of memorabilia from other incarnations of the band. I thank each member for their willingness to meet their fans.

However……

for the July 24, 2019 Phoenix performance, I paid for 2 such Meet & Greets as to double up the allowed 2 Item limit, per person, as the rules were set forth. With Steve Howe sitting at the far right as last member of the 7 member table (6 band members plus Roger Dean), I preceded to place in front of Mr. Howe my 4 items for him to sign.  He looked over at the pile of autographs I had gathered up from the previous members (4 each multiplied by 6 is 24 items by the time I got to Steve) and stated “look at all this stuff you have, I am not signing 4 items”.  I quickly told him that I paid for 2 M&G’s and with the rules as stated, this is what it adds up to. He then continued on furiously in a very rude and insulting manner, “I do not care how many you paid for, I am not signing 4 items for you”. He then only signed three of my four items, insisting on using his black marker instead of my blue marker that everyone else signed in.  I asked him to please sign my 4th item that I paid to get signed, but instead he looked the other way not signing it. At that point there was nothing I could say and simply stepped out of line, thankful indeed that the other members all played and signed by their own set house rules.

UPDATE: Though at the July 26th performance in Las Vegas Steve Howe was still a bit grumpy at what he perceived was more items requesting to be signed then I actually had paid for, he was much better than at the Phoenix show. Thank you especially to Billy Sherwood, Geoff Downes and Alan White who signed 2 items each prior to that nights performance in the lobby and casino area of the venue.

UPDATE/UPDATE: With the July 27, 2019 Meet and Greet in Irvine, Steve Howe finally brought his fan friendly face that I knew deep down this brilliant and very talented man had to have had.  I even got him to “chuckle” when I told him this would be the last time he would have to see me and deal with my autograph requesting.  In fact, all the boys of the band were loose, happy, and full of enthusiasm at this, the last of my 3 after show Meet & Greets in 4 days.  I hope by the end of these 3 days the band members came to the conclusion that, though persistent, I am nothing more than a devoted fan of their music and respect greatly each of these ever so beautifully talented band members.

HUGE THANKS to Wendy Davis: The beautiful and charming Meet & Greet coordinator and host.
Her customer service and hard work is the perfect liaison between the fans and the band.

I owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to my beautiful wife who attended each of these 3 concerts and the Meet & Greet’s (I simply could not have had such autograph success without her help), and together with the below photos, we both obtained the following items signed at either the July 24, 2019 performance in Phoenix, the July 26, 2019 performance in Las Vegas, and/or the July 27, 2019 performance in Irvine.

The autographed memorabilia obtained during July 24/26/27, 2019 from the band YES:

(other received autographed items these 3 nights may not be pictured below
as they wait for other YES members signatures to be added
and/or may be pictured throughout this YES webpage)

The 1980 DRAMA Tour Book autographed and inscribed by Geoff Downes.

Autographed by Jon Davision, Alan White, Geoff Downes, Steve Howe,

Billy Sherwood and Jay Schellen (though not pictured)

in Phoenix July 24, 2019.

The above 7 photographs are autographed by Jon Davison, Alan White,

Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, and Billy Sherwood during my 3 day

journey with YES in Phoenix/Las Vegas/Irvine July 24, 26, 27, 2019.

The above 4 photographs are autographed by Jon Davison, Alan White,

Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Billy Sherwood, Jay Schellen and Roger Dean

in Phoenix July 24, 2019.

IT WAS INDEED AN INCREDIBLE 3 DAYS OF MUSIC.

It was very hot (112 in Phoenix) and almost just as hot in Las Vegas. Through it all and over all, the band was very, very patient with me as I and my wife worked very hard at obtaining these signatures.

Let me please once again thank Wendy Davis who coordinated all the nights (and the entire tour) of Meet & Greets. This lady is absolutely the best (THEE BEST) at running such a very complex after concert M&G with the fans and the band.

Once again, let me please thank my wife who switched pens, juggled these photographs
and the (above) albums, and learned more about this band in these 3 days than any wife should.

Lastly, let me thank this such gifted band of YES, along with guests

Roger Dean, Carl Palmer and Arthur Brown.

Due to COVID, the 2020 European Tour rescheduled for 2020 (then) 2021,
