Jim Morrison: December 8, 1943 – July 3, 1971
Ray Manzarek: February 12, 1939 – May 20, 2013
Jim Morrison sadly died long before I ever started to collect autographs.
I was able to obtain Ray Manzarek before he passed away on May 20, 2013.
I have been very lucky to have met the 3 post Jim Morrison surviving members of this legendary band.
Each at times, sometimes will sign and sometimes won’t. Even with autographs aside, I enjoy just listening to whatever it is (or was) Ray Manzarek, Robbie Krieger, and John Densmore wanted to say and the stories first hand, that they would tell. They were there at so many very important events in the early days of L.A. Rock and Roll.
I have at least 10 more signed drum heads by the very generous John Densmore.
And a total of 9 more, all personalized books as well, signed by John Densmore.
This is the only autographed album I have signed by any members of the band The Doors. Autographed by both Ray Manzarek on June 22, 1991 at the KLSX Radio Swap at The Los Angeles Bonaventure Hotel and John Densmore at Rhino Records in Claremont on July 25, 2015.
Autographed by John Densmore at Amoeba Records in Hollywood on June 14, 2013.
Signed drumhead by The Doors John Densmore autographed at Ameoba Records
on June 14, 2013.
Signed autobiography by Ray Manzarek of The Doors, autographed
at Book Soup in West Hollywood, on July 5, 1998.
Personally taken and then later autographed by Robbie Krieger
at B.B. King’s club in Universal City on September 18, 1999.
Autographed by John Densmore at Rhino Records in Claremont, CA
on July 25, 2015.
Both of the above drum heads were personally signed
by The Doors drummer, John Densmore, at Rhino Records
in Claremont, Ca. on July 25, 2015.
